St John’s Invitational Waterpolo Festival 2019

The St John’s Invitational Waterpolo festival is the first tournament of the season. The festival starts on 30th August to the 1st September 2018 (the last weekend of the school holidays).

What is unique about this festival is you get assigned a foreign coach to work with your team during the festival. It is a great way to get your team ready for the season & give the players a kick start for their Waterpolo tours at the end of the year.

Each team will play a minimum of 5 games during the two day festival with training sessions thrown in with your assigned coach.

Got to be in it to win it

With less than 1 week to the beginning of the Waterpolo festival at St John’s in Harare, every one I have spoken to (in the schools Waterpolo scene) is telling me all the schools are training hard.

This coming season is going to be a short one due to the Zimbabwe elections, schools started the third term late, so with this, the players need as much training as possible.

As soon as I return from the festival, I will post the scores as a way to see how much each team improves during the term.

Personally, I feel it is going to be close between the top Zimbabwe schools.
